Aston Villa predicted XI vs Everton: key change made from Leicester win as £84m-rated duo start
The latest Aston Villa team news, injury update and predicted XI ahead of their Premier League clash with Leicester City
After their latest win over Leicester City, Aston Villa have banked six points from a possible nine in their first three games of the Premier League season. Following their fourth-place finish last season and their ticket to the Champions League, Unai Emery’s side are pushing to recreate their impressive form.
Villa’s two wins against West Ham United and Leicester City sandwiched a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal and up next, they will take on a wounded Everton. The Toffees are yet to get off the mark this campaign and currently sit rock bottom of the league table.
Their first two appearances ended in hefty defeats at the hands of Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur, which resulted in Everton shipping seven goals. Sean Dyche’s side looked well away with a crucial three points last time out after taking a 2-0 lead over Bournemouth, but between the 87th minute and the end of the match, the Cherries found three goals to deny Everton a positive result.
With the international break now over, the Premier League will resume this weekend and Aston Villa are ready to host Everton at Villa Park. Let’s take a look at how Emery might line up on Saturday following the latest team news.

Diego Carlos and Matty Cash are also on the sidelines, with the latter potentially expected to return against Wolves on September 21st. Jaden Philogene also sustained ‘a kick’ in a training session but he could be fit enough to play this weekend.
Leon Bailey suffered a hamstring injury during the clash against Leicester and Emery had admitted it may not be likely that he’ll be in contention to face Everton. Ollie Watkins was recently sent back from his latest international camp due to an ‘ongoing issue’ but the club have not released any further updates, meaning the £55 million-rated striker could be set to face Everton.
With Bailey a doubt, £29.5 million-rated Jacob Ramsey could be handed his first league start of the season,
