Dunk, Minteh, Pedro: latest Brighton injury news and potential return dates ahead of Manchester City
All the latest Brighton and Hove team news and possible return dates for injured players ahead of the weekend’s game.
Brighton are flying high under new manager Fabian Hurzeler, but they have failed to win their last two high-profile games after losing to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and suffering a narrow defeat to Liverpool last weekend.
However, they have nonetheless started the season well and now face a Manchester City side who have lost their last three games in all competitions and are struggling for confidence. Brighton have a decent chance to get something from the game, but they will be hoping some of their injured players recover in time.
Ahead of the match, here is the list of Brighton's injured stars and when they could potentially return to action:
Carlos Baleba
The influential midfielder was a surprise absentee at Anfield due to a knee injury and will be closely assessed this week ahead of the City match. Potential return: 09/11/2024.
Matt O’Riley
Another player close to a return after missing the entire season so far with an ankle injury. The £25m summer signing is most likely to be available after the international break. Potential return: Late November 2024.
Solly March
He has missed the last 12 months due to injury. Potential return: January 2025.
Yasin Ayari
The Sweden international injured his ankle in the 2-1 loss at Liverpool and hopes to be back in time for the City match. Hurzeler said: “I didn’t speak to him after the game. He’s a ruthless player, very resilient, so hopefully it is nothing serious.” Potential return: 09/11/2024.
Lewis Dunk
The captain has missed the last three Premier League matches with a calf injury. Potential return: Late November 2024.
Yankuba Minteh
The flying winger picked up a muscular injury during the previous international break and has missed the last four Premier League matches. Potential return: 09/11/2024.
James Milner
The ex-Liverpool man has missed the last nine matches with a hamstring issue sustained in the 1-1 draw at Arsenal. Potential return: Late November 2024.
Adam Webster
The defender pulled up in the first half against Tottenham with a hamstring injury and has missed the last four Premier League matches. Potential return: Late November 2024.
João Pedro
The Brazilian attacker has been a big miss for Brighton. The former Watford man injured his ankle against Nottingham Forest and has not been seen since. He is getting closer to a return and has a chance to feature in the City match.
