Dunk, Minteh & Kadioglu: Brighton injury news and potential return dates after international break
Brighton have been flying in the Premier League but they still some injury concerns during the international break.
It’s easy to forget that Brighton’s bright start to life under Fabian Hurzeler has been affected by its own injury disruptions. The Seagulls are fresh off a win against Manchester City, and despite many expecting them to struggle, they’ve been exceptional with the quick brand of football they’re playing.
They are currently sixth in the Premier League, and their medical team will be hoping that they can recover some players during this international break as they look to maintain their high standards and continue their strong form in the league. So, with what should be a very busy period during the international break, below is a list of injured players for Brighton and when they are likely to return.
Solly March
The winger has been out for almost 12 months, and his return from a knee injury has been delayed further. He continues his rehabilitation and is unlikely to feature at Bournemouth on the 23rd of this month. Potential return date: December 2024.
Jack Hinshelwood
The midfielder hobbled off against City with what appeared to be a right knee injury. The manager confirmed that Hinshelwood would have a scan, and hoped it wouldn’t be anything serious. Potential return date: December 2024.
James Milner
The experienced midfielder has missed the last 10 matches due to a hamstring injury sustained at Arsenal. Hurzeler previously mentioned that Milner had a setback in his recovery. It’s unlikely Milner will feature at Bournemouth after the break. Potential return date: December 2024.
Adam Webster
The defender injured his hamstring against Tottenham and has not played since. No return date has been confirmed yet, but the Bournemouth match will likely come too soon for him. No potential return date.
Ferdi Kadıoğlu
The versatile performer scored his first Premier League goal in the 2-1 loss at Liverpool but then missed the win against City. Turkish media reports suggest he could be out for one or two months. Potential return date: January 2025.
Lewis Dunk
The captain sustained the injury in the warm-up before the Wolves match and has not featured since. A return for the Bournemouth match after the international break seems like a realistic target for Dunk. Potential return: 23/11/2024.
Yankuba Minteh
The Gambian has been out for five matches due to a muscular issue sustained during the previous international break. Hurzeler said last week that Minteh is making good progress and hopes to have him available for the Bournemouth match. Potential return: 23/11/2024.
