While he will not get the chance to win the Club World Cup and Conference League in his first season in charge like his predecessor Enzo Maresca, Rosenior’s Blues are going strong in the Champions League and the FA Cup and are in the thick of a battle with Manchester United and Liverpool for the top four. Regardless of where they finish the season, Chelsea under this ownership are always likely to have a busy summer transfer window. Big-name, youthful arrivals and countless loan exits are usually the order of the day and that will no doubt be the case again this time around.

Using Football Manager 26, we had a look at a prediction of what Chelsea’s summer 2026 transfer window might look like - with some interesting results.

Chelsea sign Premier League winger pair - according to Football Manager

Jadon Sancho - £16m from Manchester United: Old Trafford flop Sancho departs the Red Devils permanently this summer according to FM26, re-signing with Chelsea after a previous loan spell in 2024/25. This move would certainly lead to questions from Blues fans and the game predicts another disappointing move for the former England international, without a single start or goal contribution in his first season after the transfer.

Emmanuel Emegha – £21.5m from Strasbourg: Following on from Rosenior and Mamadou Sarr, Chelsea will secure another arrival from sister club Strasbourg when Emegha arrives in the summer, in a deal agreed last year. He is not predicted to remain at Stamford Bridge for long, though.

Tyler Dibling - £46m from Everton: While a surprise move considering the limited impact Dibling has made at Everton this season in addition to his failed spell at Chelsea as a youth player, this fits in well with BlueCo’s business model. A young English talent, who can be loaned out and sold if he does not fit in at Stamford Bridge – sounds a lot like the Blues.

Denner - £7m from Corinthians: Another youngster who has already agreed to sign for Chelsea in summer 2026, the 17-year-old Brazilian left-back is the cousin of Arsenal defender Gabriel and will hope to have a similar impact in England.

Dastan Satpayev - £3.5m from Kairat: Also a 17-year-old gem who Chelsea have already signed for when he turns 18, the striker scored 19 times for Kairat in the 2025 season including four in the Champions League, three of which came in qualifying.

Niko Grlic - £1.2m from Maribor: The 19-year-old Slovenian is touted by FM26 as the next star of the future to be picked up by Chelsea, and no doubt promptly sent out on loan in the near future.

Wojciech Szczesny - £725k from Barcelona: The former Arsenal and Juventus goalkeeper is touted to sign for the Blues in a surprise deal to become a back-up option. He is predicted only to feature once in his first season at the club.

Thirteen loan exits secured in busy Chelsea summer

As with their predicted incomings, there is a distinct theme with Chelsea’s predicted departures for next summer. Loan deals, a lot of them.

Mykhailo Mudryk – loan to Nottingham Forest: The most senior player of those to be loaned out in FM26’s prediction, former £88m signing Mudryk’s career is currently in limbo after the 25-year-old was suspended for violating doping laws back in November 2024. An outcome to his case has yet to be reached, but if it is – a loan move to Forest is touted.

Ted Curd – loan to Blackpool: The former Hampton & Richmond Borough and current Boreham Wood loanee goalkeeper is touted for another loan in the summer, earning his first Football League move with Blackpool.

Tyrique George – loan to Southampton: George is currently at Everton until the end of the season with an option to buy, but FM predicts that he will be back at Chelsea ahead of a move to Southampton.

Emmanuel Emegha – loan to Brentford: As previously stated, £21.5m signing Emegha is not expected to remain at Chelsea for long. His predicted loan deal to Brentford goes well, though, as he bags five goals and three assists in 10 appearances for the Bees.

Mamadou Sarr – loan to Birmingham City: Despite only just being recalled from Strasbourg in January 2026, the young centre-back is touted for a loan move to ambitious Birmingham City, who are currently targeting a Championship play-off place.

Marc Guiu – loan to Birmingham City: Predicted to join Sarr in the West Midlands is Guiu, who was previously recalled from a spell at Sunderland due to Blues injury issues but has seen first-team opportunities limited at Stamford Bridge.

Other loan exits: Jesse Derry to Oldham, Ishé Samuels-Smith to Oxford United, Caleb Wiley to Coventry City, Harrison Murray-Campbell to Bradford City, Max Merrick to Walsall, Landon Emenalo to Colchester United and Shumaira Mheuka to Stevenage.
