Sarr, Yéremy and Doucouré: Latest Crystal Palace injury news and return dates ahead of Liverpool clash

The latest Crystal Palace injury news ahead of the Premier League game against Liverpool - with updates on Ismaïla Sarr and Yéremy Pino.
Crystal Palace’s unbeaten record will be put to its greatest test yet when they welcome reigning Premier League champions Liverpool to Selhurst Park on Saturday – but they head into the game with concerns over the fitness of several key players.
Ismaïla Sarr has missed the last three matches due to a hamstring injury, and there is now a doubt over the availability of summer signing Yéremy Pino after he had to be substituted at half-time during the 2-1 win over West Ham United last weekend.
There was some good news with Adam Wharton and Eddie Nketiah returning for that game, but Sarr and Yéremy are now among six players who are either out or doubts for the Liverpool match. We’ve got all the latest updates on Palace’s stricken players below, along with their expected return dates when available.
Will Ismaïla Sarr be fit to face Liverpool?
The Senegalese winger hasn’t played a match in September thus far as he works to recover from a hamstring injury, but head coach Oliver Glasner told the media that he would return to training this week ahead of the Liverpool game, suggesting that he should be ready to return.
Glasner has yet to confirm that he will be fit for the weekend but had previously stated that this Saturday was the target for his return and the 27-year-old is expected to feature barring unforeseen setbacks.
Another injured player who could theoretically recover in time to face Liverpool is young full-back Caleb Kporha, who has yet to play this season due to a back problem that began over the summer. The England Under-19 international is believed to be close to a return, but Palace have kept details of his recovery close to their chest and a return date has not been announced as yet.
Is Yéremy Pino injured for Crystal Palace?
New arrival Yéremy was withdrawn at the halfway point of last weekend’s win at the London Stadium, and Palace have not yet revealed the results of medical assessments of the Spaniard’s potential injury.
“He had pain in his knee. We don't know exactly what it is, so we will assess him tomorrow,” Glasner told the media after the game. “I think he will have a scan. Hopefully, it's not too serious, but he couldn't continue playing.”
As yet, there have been no updates on the £26m winger’s condition and it is unknown whether or not he will face Liverpool or face a lengthy lay-off. Glasner is likely to reveal more at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
If Yéremy is ruled out, he will join Chadi Riad, Cheick Doucouré (both knee) and reserve goalkeeper Walter Benítez (dislocated finger) on the sidelines. It is hoped that both Riad and Doucouré will return in late October or early November, with Moroccan defender Riad already back in light training. Summer signing Benítez is expected to be out for another week and could be back on the bench for the Europa Conference League league stage game against Dynamo Kyiv next week.
