Everton's new 2025/26 third kit 'leaked' online as fans lash out at 'our worst kit ever'
The new Everton third kit for the 2025/26 season appears to have been leaked online ahead of release.
New images of Everton’s brand new third kit for the forthcoming 2025/26 season have leaked online ahead of its official release – and they suggest that Castore’s new design has changed over the course of recent months.
Leaks which emerged earlier in the summer showed digital mock-ups of all three Everton shirts for the coming campaign, with the information regarding the home and away jerseys proving to be accurate. The latest images of the third kit, however, suggest a change of direction, and based on early feedback to the apparent original design, many supporters may be rather happy about that…
What Everton’s new third kit for 2025/26 looks like - according to leaks
The new image, which was first shared on social media by Everton kit collector @_luke1878_ - who has shared accurate information about upcoming Everton kits on several previous occasions – shows that although the spirit of Castore’s original design remains, the specifics are quite different.
The shirt is still, as predicted, black with blue and yellow patterning, but instead of a string of different lines, stripes and blocks of colour with a wide range of different designs splashed across the top, the blue and yellow design has been simplified into much more straightforward thin horizontal bands.
The simplified white Everton Prince Rupert’s Tower logo remains in place, alongside simplified kit manufacturer and sponsors’ logos, with the entire look being less chaotic and more minimalist compared to the apparent prototype.
In addition, details of Castore’s pre-match shirt for the new Everton season have also been revealed – also black with a pattern of grey and dark blue swirls along with a monochrome club crest. Full details of the new strip, which will be worn during pre-game warm-ups, are available on Footy Headlines.
Everton fans didn’t like the old version – and appear to hate this even more
Everton fans haven’t been best pleased with Castore’s designs this season, with the home shirt drawing plenty of criticism while the original ‘leak’ which appeared to spoil the third kit’s design didn’t go down well either. The newer version, however, may prove to be more unpopular still.
Initial fan reactions to the new kit leak include supporters suggesting that it might be “our worst kit ever” and describing it as “horrific” or “awful”, while at least one hopefully prayed that it would prove to be a fake. The latest leak has not yet been verified but appears likely to be genuine based on the source.

Assuming it does indeed prove to be true, then Everton may not be dressed to their very best when they take to the field at the brand new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock in August – but between a new ground and new ownership, the complaints will probably be kept to a minimum for now, and the away shirt has at least drawn some warmer reviews.
There is as yet no word on when the third kit will be officially launched and available for sale, but the home and away jerseys are available for purchase already.
