Ndiaye, Calvert-Lewin and Mangala: Everton injury news and return dates ahead of Brentford clash
Everton are back in Premier League action this week
Everton drew 2-2 with Manchester United at home last time out. They led 2-0 against the Red Devils but saw their opponents fight back to secure a draw.

The Toffees have had an upturn in form since David Moyes returned to Goodison Park. He was brought back after Sean Dyche’s sacking.
The Merseyside outfit are currently sat in 14th place in the Premier League table. They are back in action on Wednesday with an away trip to Brentford as they look to keep their momentum going.
Everton defensive and midfield issues
Seamus Coleman - out. Everton are still without the right-back due to his ongoing injury issues. It remains to be seen at this stage when exactly he will be available to feature again. He won’t be risked though and needs time to return to training. Expected return date: 12/04/2025
Orel Mangala - out. The midfielder has been ruled out for the rest of the season for the Toffees which is a blow. He has posted on social media: “Thank you for all the messages of support - it is hard news to take. Believe with God on my side, I will be back soon and stronger than ever before!”
Meanwhile, Moyes has said: “Mangala will go back. I think we're waiting for the surgeon to clear it. I think he will be operated on in France (with Lyon), as far as we know.” Expected return date: N/A
Nathan Patterson - doubt. The Toffees will need to make checks on the former Rangers man. Moyes has said: “Nathan has come out on the grass the past couple of days, but we think it's just too soon for him. He's making some progress.” Expected return date: 26/02/2025
Everton attacking woes
Armando Broja + Youssef Chermiti - out. Everton director of football Kevin Thelwell has said Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti are set to return earlier than expected. He has said: “We know there is a gap in provisions at the moment. We have got three injuries to three very good strikers. We did look long and hard in the window to see if we could recruit a striker but those players are very expensive.
“With Broja coming back earlier than expected, with Chermiti coming back earlier than we expected, we made a decision collectively to stick with what we have got. Beto did great last week scoring a couple of goals, let's see if he can score a couple more and in between times, we get those two strikers back to us and they can prove they're very capable to help us win in some games.” Expected return dates: 01/03/2025
Dominic Calvert-Lewin - out. Everton’s attacker has been struck with a hamstring problem which is a blow. He picked up the issue against Brighton and Hove Albion and his head coach has said: “Dom doesn’t need any surgery, he’s been checked so from that point of view it’s not a good injury but it’s maybe not quite as bad as we first feared when he got it. So we’re hoping that might not be as long as maybe first expected.” Expected return date: 08/03/2025
Dwight McNeill - out. He has been in the treatment room for a while as he looks to step up his recovery. The Toffees are being patient with him right now. Moyes has said: “Dwight has had a minor surgery. I've just spoken to him as I've walked into the press conference. Hopefully, that has now sorted out his injury, which was a little bit difficult to diagnose.” Expected return date: 26/02/2025
Iliman Ndiaye - out. The ex-Sheffield United man may be back quicker than first thought. His boss has said: “Ili has been taking injections and we’re quite positive he is working hard to get back quickly. We’re hoping to get him back maybe before we thought. But he’s not fit just now.” Expected return date: 15/03/2025
