Ranking every Leeds United kit from the 1990s - including UEFA Cup and Tony Yeboah classics
Leeds United kits from the 1990s ranked from best to worst
Leeds United are aiming for a return to the Premier League this season under the guidance of German manager Daniel Farke. They are sat top of the Championship table with eight fixtures left to play with Sheffield United and Burnley both chasing them down.

The Whites were promoted back in 2020 under popular former manager Marcelo Bielsa and stayed in the top flight for three years before slipping back into the second tier in 2023. They then reached the play-off final last year but missed out on going up after losing in the final to Southampton at Wembley.
Leeds have an illustrious history and are hoping to get back to the glory days once again. The Yorkshire outfit were regulars in Europe and won themselves trophies. Their demise down to League One in 2007 was well documented after financial issues and they have managed to claw themselves back up the leagues since then. The 1990s was an eventful decade for the Whites and plenty was going on for them in that period.
They wore some interesting kits and they spent eight out of the 10 years at the top level. Here is a look at their kits ranked from worst to best...
6. 1992 to 1993
Admiral made and sponsored Leeds’ kit in the 1992 to 1993 and it didn’t even have a collar for Eric Cantona during his loan spell from Nimes. Asics were to take over following this campaign.
5. 1996 to 1998
Puma’s Leeds design was simple and was nothing spectacular. It did the job though and was worn for a couple of years. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink fired 22 goals whilst wearing it in his first year after arriving from Boavista.
4. 1990 to 1992
Leeds began the ‘90s with promotion to the top flight after winning the First Division title. They are hoping to do the same again now in 2025 under Farke. Their umbro design was smart and they had a change of sponsor from Top Man to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
3. 1998 to 2000
Leeds ended the ‘90s with a slick Puma design with blue logos down the sleeves. It was Packard Bell’s time to have their name on the front by this point. The Whites played in the UEFA Cup during this spell and had players like Hasselbaink and Michael Bridges.
2. 1993 to 1995
Leeds’ kit between 1993 to 1995 had a blue collar and incorporated yellow into their back into their colour scheme. They finished 5th both years they wore it and narrowly missed out on the top four which was a shame at the time.
1. 1995 to 1996
Tony Yeboah strutted his stuff at Elland Road wearing this top between these years. He was a hit during his time in England and scored 32 goals in 66 games before Hamburg came calling. The Whites’ kit was a smooth looking all-white strip with hints of dark blue on the badge and sponsor and looking back on it will make their supporters feel nostalgic.
