Manchester United are sat in 15th place in the table and will want to find some more consistency with their form. They have had an underwhelming season so far.

The Red Devils fought back from 2-0 down away at Everton this weekend to draw 2-2. Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte got their goals at Goodison Park.

United are back in action on Wednesday at home to Ipswich Town in the Premier League. They then lock horns with Fulham at Old Trafford in the FA Cup.

Manchester United defensive problems

Altay Bayindir - out. United’s back-up goalkeeper hasn’t been seen recently and will need to be checked on. Amorim has said:“Altay, I think he has a problem. So, he is not available for the game. Tom (Heaton) is also not for this game, but he can play the other ones [in the future].” Expected return date: Unknown.

Lisandro Martinez - out. He is out of action with a long-term knee injury. Amorim has said: “Licha is a difficult situation. He's going to be out for a while. We don't know the extent of the injury, but it's an injury that is going to take time.” Expected return date: 01/01/2026.

Luke Shaw - out. The left-back has had another frustrating campaign and hasn’t been able to have a regular run in the team which is a shame for him. His head coach has said: “Luke, just a little bit, one small issue in a different area from the last injury, so we'll try to be careful.” Expected return date: 01/04/2025.

Jonny Evans - doubt. The veteran has been struggling with a back issue over recent times and will be assessed. Expected return date: Unknown.

Manchester United midfield woes

Toby Collyer - out. He isn’t ready to return yet and United are being patient with him. Amorim has said: “Toby seems to be the closest one, but not now.” Expected return date: 09/03/2025.

Mason Mount - out. The former Chelsea man has been in the treatment room with a thigh injury. Amorim shared this latest update in December: “Several weeks. I don't know the exact date, but it's going to be for long. And that’s it, it's part of football, and you continue.” Expected return date: Unknown.

Amad Diallo - out. He has been ruled out until the summer following his ankle/foot problem which is a blow. He has been one of few positives for the Red Devils so far this term and his absence will be missed over the coming months. Expected return date: 01/06/2025.

Kobbie Mainoo - out. United’s midfielder picked up an injury in the build-up to their match against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month and didn’t feature at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. In this latest update regarding his condition, he is expected to be sidelined until after the next international break in March which isn’t ideal. That means he will miss upcoming matches against Ipswich Town, Fulham, Arsenal and Leicester City. Expected return date: 01/04/2025.
