Man United predicted line-up vs Tottenham: Two changes made as Ruben Amorim makes big Harry Maguire decision
Manchester United are back in Premier League action on Saturday as Ruben Amorim’s side look to return to winning ways
Manchester United drew 2-2 away at Nottingham Forest in their last Premier League outing. Casemiro and Amad Diallo got their goals at the City Ground but they weren’t able to find a late winner in the end and were forced to settle for a point. The Red Devils are positioned in 8th place in the table after their first 10 fixtures and they are one point off the top four.
Ruben Amorim’s side have seen an upturn in form over recent weeks and are proving to be a tough team to beat at the moment. They are unbeaten in their last four matches so are carrying momentum. Next up is a home clash this weekend against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
Manchester United predicted XI vs Tottenham Hotspur: goalkeeper and defence
United goalkeeper Senne Lammens has made a positive impression since his summer switch. They snapped him up from Royal Antwerp in the last transfer window to strengthen their options between the sticks. He has since adapted well to life in England and has kept Altay Bayindir out of the team following Andre Onana’s exit to Trabzonspor in Turkey.
Diallo managed to get on the scoresheet against Nottingham Forest and likes to get up and down the flank from wing-back. On the other side, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Patrick Dorgu get the nod ahead of Diogo Dalot against Spurs to freshen things up. He provides more pace and is a threat going forward when he attacks.
In the heart of defence, Mathijs de Ligt has been ever-present under Amorim over recent times. The Red Devils may opt for Harry Maguire ahead of Leny Yoro for his experience and know-how at the back. Luke Shaw then tend to operate on the left of the back three as United look to keep Thomas Frank’s men at bay and keep a clean sheet.
Manchester United predicted XI vs Tottenham Hotspur: midfield and attack
Casemiro has enjoyed a new lease of life with United over recent times. He stayed put beyond the last deadline in September and remains under contract. The Brazilian scored against Nottingham Forest and should start from the off again against Spurs. He provides calmness in Amorim’s starting XI and a bit more balance.
Bruno Fernandes is the Red Devils’ main man in the middle of the park. He is their creative spark and creates things for the players ahead of him on the pitch. The Portugal international, who has made 84 caps for his country to date, has scored two goals so far this term.
United delved into the transfer market earlier this year to snap up Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko to boost their attacking department. The trio are all still getting used to life in their new surroundings and will be looking to show more of what they can do against Spurs. They will get better with time and fans are being patient with them.
