Newcastle United line up blockbuster Real Madrid transfer as Man United target dazzling winger

Your latest transfer rumours, including Man United, Newcastle United, Arsenal and more...

It’s Monday again and that means it is time for your latest dose of transfer rumours. The season is now well underway, with sides across the Premier League beginning to worry about their squads more than ever.

With the vast riches involved in both European qualification and surviving relegation, in addition to the increasing pressure placed on clubs by PSR, this January transfer window could be as important as ever.

We begin our transfer round-up at Old Trafford, where Ruben Amorim could be planning a shock reunion with a former star...

According to reports by Fichajes relayed by GiveMeSport, Manchester United are plotting a move for Sporting CP attacking midfielder and winger Francisco Trincao, who shone under Amorim with the Portuguese giants and has begun the new campaign rapidly with five goals already, including a double in Sporting’s Champions League opener in midweek.

The report claims that Amorim’s relationship with the Portugal international could be a deciding factor in convincing him to move to Old Trafford. With his contract currently expiring in 2027, there could be increasing pressure for Sporting to sell if the right offer were to arrive.

The 3AM verdict: We don’t see the value in this one. First of all, United spent over £100 million on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo over the summer and still have the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo in their ranks. Trincao may not even get in the team.

The Red Devils also have a very poor record in recent years with under-pressure managers opting to reunite with former players in hope of turning things around (with one Erik ten Hag-shaped culprit in particular), and the board have surely learnt from their mistakes. This looks unlikely.

Arsenal hero rejects contract as offer ‘must be improved’

Reported by Indykaila News on X, the agent of Arsenal centre-back William Saliba has requested an ‘urgent meeting’ with the club to negotiate increased terms for the Frenchman’s new contract. The current offer ‘must be improved’ for the 24-year-old to commit his future to the Emirates with a new long-term deal.

The meeting will take place on Monday, as ‘confirmed!’ by the report, and the Gunners will hope that they can resolve matters after their latest offer was rejected. His current deal runs until June 2027.

The 3AM verdict: This is certainly worrying news for Arsenal with Real Madrid lurking, as they seem to be for all the Premier League’s best defenders lately. If a deal is not reached with Saliba by the end of the season then serious alarm bells will be ringing.

We still believe that they will reach a conclusion, as Saliba has shone at the Emirates and must relish playing in arguably the best current defensive unit in the world. That being said, he will push for a contract which reflects his priceless importance to the club. How this pans out could have a big impact on Arsenal’s, and maybe by extension Mikel Arteta’s, future.

Newcastle plot stunning move for Real Madrid and Brazil starlet

And finally, stunning reports coming from Fichajes in Spain suggest that Newcastle United are plotting a loan move for Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick as Eddie Howe looks to bolster his attacking options.

The 19-year-old already has 15 caps for Brazil and signed for Los Blancos in a headline €60m (£52m) move last year. But things have not worked out thus far, with just one solitary La Liga goal in his limited game-time last campaign. He has yet to make a single competitive appearance under new boss Xabi Alonso, despite receiving the iconic No.9 shirt ahead of the new season. A loan move could therefore be the logical next step as Endrick looks to gain further experience playing in Europe.

The 3AM verdict: This would certainly be a strange move, but why not? If Endrick is still not playing under Alonso come January then a loan move away is the right decision for his development. Newcastle have already signed Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa but some youthful competition would only be a good thing, especially if the Magpies reach the Champions League knock-out stages.

The only issue would be surrounding Endrick himself, and if he would want to swap Madrid for the North East - particularly if he is not even guaranteed a starting spot at St James’ Park. We would love to see Endrick in the Premier League, nevertheless.
