Newcastle United's 2025/26 home shirt 'leaked' as concerns raised over new design

Newcastle United will be gearing up for another year in the Premier League next season

Newcastle United will be hoping that their Carabao Cup final win over Liverpool earlier this month can be the first of many trophies after ending their drought without silverware. The Toon Army have paraded around the city this weekend in front of their supporters. They won the final 2-1 at Wembley after goals by Dan Burn and Alexander Isak.

Eddie Howe’s side are currently sat in 6th place in the table as they look to get into the top four. They are only four points off 4th place as they aim to close the gap. Next up is a home clash against Brentford on Wednesday night followed by an away trip to Leicester City.

Newcastle United 25/26 shirt leaked

As per Footy Headlines, Newcastle’s 2025/26 home shirt has been leaked. The kit consists of a new unique stripe pattern that includes a fade from white to black. The traditional colour scheme remains the same but the design is different from usual.

The Toon Army’s gear has been made by Adidas since 2023. They took over from Castore a couple of years after penning a big-money deal. The North East have also recently been Puma.

Craig Buglass, who has helped make Newcastle’s jerseys over the past couple of years with Adidas, has said, as per BBC Sport: “Simply put, it's exposure - hundreds of [Adidas] stores all over the world and massive marketing budgets. As soon as the [Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund] buyout of the club happened in 2021, I knew immediately Castore wouldn't last much longer. Castore, as much as it's a great brand, it's not an Adidas or Nike. What you want is a global market. I can see us becoming the envy of clubs on so many levels."

He added: “They've really tapped into fan bases and partnered with companies that pulse with supporters. In my opinion, it's the perfect marriage for Newcastle because the fans love to wear the team colours and gear in general."

What lies in store for Newcastle United?

It remains to be seen whether this latest leak in correct. Adidas remain under contract and will hope whatever they release will sell a lot. That will in turn help boost Newcastle’s revenue and budget.

Howe has the chance to bring in some new faces this summer to bolster his ranks. If his side are in a European competition again, they will need more competition and depth in their squad to deal with the increased number of fixtures that would come their way. There are a couple of areas that could do with an extra body or two.

The Toon Army will also have the opportunity to let some players head out the exit door should they wish to. They have a couple of individuals on the fringes who may seek a departure for a new chapter. That would help free up some space and funds to pave the way for reinforcements.

Newcastle won’t be too focused on their recruitment just yet though. They still have work to do and once the dust finally settles on their recent cup win, they will be looking to get back into league action and carry on getting points on the board. Howe’s men have some big matches coming up and will want to keep their momentum going.
