'Top spy' - Southampton ace emerges on radar of European giants with scouts sent

Southampton have endured a nightmare 2024/25 season in the Premier League. They are sat bottom of the table and are inside the drop zone along with Ipswich Town and Leicester City.
The Saints turned to Ivan Juric as their replacement for Russell Martin earlier this season. However, he hasn’t managed to inspire them to an upturn in form.
They have only nine points on the board having won only two games in this campaign. Next up for the Hampshire outfit is a home clash against Crystal Palace after the international break.
Southampton’s Tyler Dibling eyed by Inter Milan
Journalist Alan Nixon on Patreon has reported that Inter Milan have sent a ‘top spy’ to scout Southampton attacking midfielder Tyler Dibling. The Serie A giants are interested in a potential move to land the youngster.
Dibling, 19, has been a standout player for the Saints over recent times. He has been one of very few positives from this campaign.
He has a bright future ahead of him in the game and will be a man in-demand. The England youth international had spells with the likes of Chelsea and Exeter City before settling down with the Saints.
The Exeter-born man penned his first professional contract in 2023 and has seen that deal extended since then. He made his debut back in August 2023 in a Carabao Cup tie against Gillingham and played his first league match a few months later.
Dibling has made 35 appearances for Southampton to date and has chipped in with four goals. Inter Milan could see him as someone to add more quality to their ranks. They sit top of the league as they look to win the title and Simone Inzaghi’s side are positioned three points clear of Napoli in 2nd.
Will Tyler Dibling stay at Southampton?
It is unlikely that Dibling will stay at Southampton in the Championship. They will face a battle to keep hold of him and it would be a massive surprise if he remained with them.
The prospect has said in a recent interview: “At the start of the season I had so much confidence it felt like nobody could stop me. The most surreal moment was scoring against Ipswich. You can see from my celebration that it meant so much. My friends were there, Lewis was there. Scoring in the Premier League just felt crazy.”
He has shown that he is capable of playing at the top level and deserves a move. If the Saints were to cash in, they will look to get as much money as possible for his services.
The 3am Verdict: Inter Milan would be an interesting move for Dibling if he went there. They would be able to offer him the chance to play in one of Europe’s most iconic stadiums, the San Siro, and he would get the chance to play in Europe. The Serie A outfit will need to see off competition from teams in England for his signature though which could prove tough.
