Solanke, Kulusevski & Takai: Latest Tottenham injury news and expected return dates ahead of PSG clash
The latest Tottenham Hotspur injury news and return dates ahead of their Champions League game against PSG.
Tottenham Hotspur don’t have long to get over Sunday’s demoralising 4-1 North London Derby defeat – they’re back in action on Wednesday when they face a tough test of their Champions League credentials against last year’s winners PSG. They’ll also hope to have more good news on the fitness front after several key players returned to action against Arsenal.

Having been plagued by injuries for some time, Spurs are starting to get a little healthier with Randal Kolo Muani, Mohammed Kudus and Pape Matar Sarr among the recently-injured players to make it onto the field at the Emirates, but there are plenty of players still out of action - including Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski, who Spurs will hope to have back soon.
With another challenging match in prospect, we’ve rounded up the latest Spurs injury news below, along with their missing players’ expected return dates when available.
When will Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski return for Spurs?
The bad news is that there are no indications that either Solanke or Kulusevski will be available for the midweek trip to Paris, or for the home game against Fulham in the Premier League next Saturday.
Both could be close to a comeback, however, although Thomas Frank has avoided putting a specific target date for either player’s return – although there are signs which suggest that Solanke could be the closer of the two, with Frank discussing the striker’s situation ahead of the weekend while opting not to address the timeline for Kulusevski.
Frank said that Solanke, who underwent surgery on an ankle injury earlier in the season, was “not ready yet” and that Spurs would hold off on reintroducing him until they were “absolutely sure” that there would be no further setbacks. An early December return is rumoured.
Kulusevski, meanwhile, is also set to return in December following an ACL injury, according to his national manager Graham Potter, who said during the recent international break that the winger was “ready to take the next step” in his rehabilitation and he believed he would return “maybe at Christmas or in the New Year.”
There is also no return date as yet for midfielder Yves Bissouma, who sustained an ankle ligament injury within seconds of coming on for the Malian national team in the October international break. There are no indications that he will be available to play this week and he is not believed to have returned to training.
Latest on Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Kota Takai ahead of PSG and Fulham games
Two of Spurs’ recently-injured players made it as far as the bench on Sunday in the shape of Archie Gray (calf) and Lucas Bergvall, who is now out of the concussion protocol after being dazed by a blow to the head during the recent 1-0 defeat to Chelsea. Both are in full training again and are available for selection this week.
Spurs also had positive news about the health of several missing defenders, with both Ben Davies and Kota Takai – who has yet to make his Spurs debut after enduring foot and thigh injuries since signing in the summer – back in full first-team training. They could play if required, but Frank appears set to take things slowly and neither is expected to be in the squad for the PSG match.
Romanian centre-back Radu Dragusin is likewise a significant doubt despite returning to training after an ACL injury – he played 45 minutes of a behind-closed-doors friendly against Leyton Orient during the break but is expected to get some minutes with the Under-21s before he is risked in a senior match.
James Maddison remains out for the long term with his own ACL injury and may not feature this season as a result. With none of the injured players who failed to make the squad for the North London Derby expected to return this week, Frank is likely to be without seven players for the PSG and Fulham matches.
