West Ham sign £14m Leeds star and PSG defender in stunning summer transfer window prediction

How West Ham United’s summer transfer window might look - according to an intriguing prediction.

West Ham United were one of busiest clubs in the Premier League in the January transfer window, as the Hammers look to beat the drop and survive in the top flight for another season.

Whether or not they will ultimately be successful in their goal remains to be seen, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are battling hard to eat away at the gap between themselves, Nottingham Forest and the sides above at present. Even Tottenham Hotspur could yet be dragged into things if it does not go well for new boss Igor Tudor, which Hammers fans would no doubt love.

Regardless of which division West Ham find themselves next season, they will have a huge rebuild ahead as the club look to stop the downward descent on which they have found themselves in recent years. We had a look at Football Manager 26 for their predictions on what the Hammers’ summer 2026 transfer window might look like.

Leeds and Middlesbrough stars sign amid 12 arrivals - according to Football Manager

Mateo Joseph – £14.25m from Leeds United: The 22-year-old forward is currently out on loan at La Liga club Mallorca and is touted for a big move to West Ham this summer, where he will make just three substitute appearances in his first season according to FM26.

Tommy Conway – £11m from Middlesbrough: The Scotland international has bagged seven goals for Championship promotion chasers Boro this season and is predicted to earn a move to east London – where the 23-year-old does not feature at all in his first season in claret and blue.

Kilian Fischer - £2.7m from Wolfsburg: The full-back has been in and out of the Wolfsburg team this season due to injury and is touted for a cut-price move to West Ham, with just one year remaining on his contract, to add more cover at the back.

Hidemasa Morita – Free from Sporting CP: The Japanese midfielder is out of contract this summer and has featured 31 times for Sporting this season. FM predicts that he will move to the Hammers at the end of his contract to provide another experienced midfield option, soon after his 31st birthday.

Cameron Archer - £2.5m from Southampton: The 24-year-old striker is struggling for starts at Championship Southampton at present, having seen a January move to Rangers fall through. FM26 calls for the former Aston Villa academy star to be given a fresh start at the Irons, where he scores once in four appearances and hardly turns the needle.

Roberto Alvarado – Free from Chivas: The 27-year-old has never played outside his native Mexico in his career but is touted for a surprise move to east London. With over three years remaining on his deal, he moves on a free transfer with his contract likely terminated according to FM’s prediction.

Emilio Lawrence – Free agent: Currently on loan at Luton Town from Manchester City, the winger is called to sign for the Hammers after his release from the Etihad.

Beraldo – loan from PSG: The 22-year-old defender is predicted to sign for West Ham in a shock loan move from European giants PSG. He makes just four appearances during his spell in east London.

Owen Beck – loan from Liverpool: Also joining in an unexpected loan move is Liverpool youngster Beck, who recently returned to Anfield after failing to make an appearance at Derby County due to injury. His next destination is predicted to be the London Stadium.

Douglas Santos – loan from Zenit St. Petersburg: The 31-year-old full-back has made 229 appearances for Zenit but is predicted to move to West Ham on loan in the summer, having recently earned a recall to the Brazil squad, for his first experience playing in England.

Jan Bednarek – loan from Porto: Arriving on loan to provide increased cover at the back is former Southampton defender Bednarek. He makes just two substitute appearances for Nuno’s side and is evidently not greatly needed.

Luís Henrique – loan from Inter Milan: The Brazilian winger also makes a surprise loan move to the Hammers, from Serie A giants Inter, but fails to appear at all for the east Londoners due to a serious injury. Would be an exciting deal on paper, at least.

Walker-Peters departs as West Ham keep hold of key stars

Kyle Walker-Peters - £2.8m to Brentford: The Hammers manage to keep hold of the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville, with Walker-Peters the only player to depart the club permanently according to FM. He leaves for London rivals Brentford, possibly as a replacement for Michael Kayode – who signed for Manchester United in the same FM save.

Luís Guilherme – loan to Wrexham: The Hammers flop departed for Sporting CP in January 2026 for £14.7m and is no longer a West Ham player. FM appear to have missed this, though, as they tout a Wrexham loan move for the winger in summer 2026.

Andy Irving – loan to WSG Tirol: Similarly to Guilherme, Irving departed in the winter transfer window on a permanent transfer to Sparta Prague. FM predict that he will somehow end up back at the London Stadium by the summer, though, only to depart for Austrian side WSG Tirol.

Kaelan Casey – loan to Preston North End: A player who thankfully is still on the books at the club, Casey is currently on loan at Leyton Orient and is predicted to make the step up to the Championship next term with a season-long move to Preston.

Emeka Adiele – loan to Accrington Stanley: The 18-year-old left-back signed for Utrecht on a permanent deal on January transfer deadline day, and so is unlikely to be available for a loan switch to Accrington in the summer.
