The groundbreaking Wolves and Chelsea swap transfer deal that could set the summer window alight
Wolves and Chelsea both have the opportunity to land some new players when the next window opens
Vitor Pereira has done an impressive job since taking over at Wolves. He was picked as their replacement for Gary O’Neil earlier this season and has guided them to safety. The former Fenerbahce and FC Porto man is quickly becoming a popular figure at Molineux.

As for Chelsea, Enzo Maresca was appointed as their head coach last summer after winning the Championship title with Leicester City. He was picked after they parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino. The London club are currently eyeing a place in the top four and have five fixtures left to play.
Wolves eye Joao Felix swoop
Wolves have been linked with an ambitious swoop for Chelsea attacker Joao Felix this summer. According to TBR Football, he has emerged on their radar along with West Ham. He is facing an uncertain long-term future at Stamford Bridge and his parent club have a big decision to make regarding his situation.
Felix, 25, is currently out on loan at AC Milan but is due to return to England when his deal in Italy runs out. Atletico Madrid once booked their transfer record to sign him for £113 million from Benfica. However, his career has stalled a bit over recent times and a change of scene would do him good.
Wolves’ links to him aren’t as far fetched as people could think. They have a history of signing Portuguese stars and could see him one of their next eye-catching additions. The likes of Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota have played for them over recent times and they are capable of attracting big names.
Felix, who is a Portugal international with 45 caps for his country to date, joined Chelsea on loan back in 2023. He then linked up with the Blues on a permanent basis a year later. However, he hasn’t been able to make the impact he would have wanted to.
There are question marks over whether Wolves will be able to keep hold of Matheus Cunha. If he were to depart, they would need to find a replacement. Felix would fit the bill and would get plenty of game time which is what he needs right now.
Would Rayan Ait-Nouri suit Chelsea?
Chelsea could do with some more competition at left-back for Marc Cucurella. Ben Chilwell left on loan for Crystal Palace this past winter, whilst Malo Gusto is right footed and is better on his more comfortable side. Therefore, they should look at trying to get Rayan Ait-Nouri as part of a potential Joao Felix exit door.
The Algeria international would give the Blues more competition and depth in their defensive department. He is experienced in this country and has proven himself at the top level. The wing-back likes to get up and down the flank and would suit Maresca’s style of play.
At the age of 23, he still has potential and will get better down the line. He may fancy a new challenge ahead of next term and Chelsea could provide him with the platform to play in a European competition. The France-born man has been with Wolves since joining them on an initial loan deal back in 2020.
Prior to his move, Ait-Nouri played for Paris FC before joining Angers as a youngster. He broke into the first-team of the latter before moving to his current club. He has since played 151 matches and has found the net on 12 occasions.
Wolves risk losing him for nothing next June if they don’t sell him this year or next January. It looks unlikely at this stage that he will pen an extension. Chelsea should try and take advantage of this and secure his services ahead of other rivals. All that said, don’t rule out an emotional return for Felix, who’s search for home could well take him back to where it all began.
