Prince Harry is in the headlines again following the publishing of his memoir ‘Spare’, which describes how he felt overshadowed by his brother William and others during his time with the royal family.
And that got us thinking about the footballers past and present who have been overlooked for one reason or another, whether they were simply underrated, or whether they were victim to being overshadowed by more popular teammates. We have included current and former players, including Premier League stars and some of the standouts from the continent.
Join us below as we take a look at 10 overlooked stars in no particular order:

9. Dennis Bergkamp

10. Robert Huth
Huth was never seen as a top defender, failing to break through with Chelsea. But he won the league with Leicester, and they couldn’t do it without him. Wes Morgan may be the first defender that comes to mind from that league-winning Foxes defence, but Huth was pivotal, offering experience and top-class defending. | Getty Images
