Crystal Palace and Everton are keen on Burnley defender Maxime Esteve but face competition from AC Milan, according to journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon. The centre-back has impressed in the Championship with the Clarets this season.

Esteve, 22, is currently looking to help Scott Parker’s gain an immediate promotion to the top flight. They are battling at the top of the league with Leeds United and Sheffield United.

The Frenchman moved over to England in 2024 on an initial loan deal that was later made permanent. He has since made 50 appearances in all competitions.

The 3am Verdict: Burnley’s defensive record has been unbelievable so far this season and Maxime Esteve is one of the best defenders in the Championship. He would be ideal for either Crystal Palace and Everton but the fact AC Milan are also being linked isn’t ideal for the pair. The player’s future at Turf Moor may well depend on what league they are in next term.

Chelsea and Arsenal eye Benjamin Sesko

Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, according to The Mirror. The Slovenia international is a wanted man ahead of the next window.

Sesko, 21, has been on the books of his current club since 2023 and has been decent in front of goal. He has scored 35 goals in 76 games in all competitions, 17 of which have come this term.

Leipzig could face a battle to keep hold of him later this year if reports are true. Prior to his transfer to the Bundesliga club, he played for Red Bull Salzburg as a youngster in Austria.

The 3am Verdict: Benjamin Sesko would fit the bill for Chelsea. He is young, has bags of potential and would boost their striking ranks. He would also be perfect for Arsenal and they are crying out for a player like him. It has been well documented that they need to bring in a forward and that is an area they must strengthen in the summer if they are to challenge for the title in the next campaign.

Real Betis want longer deal for Antony

Real Betis want to extend Antony’s stay from Manchester United, as per Fichajes. The 25-year-old joined the La Liga club on a temporary basis in January and has hit the ground running immediately.

He has scored three goals in seven matches so far and has also chipped in with two assists. United gave him the green light to head out the exit door earlier this winter to get some more game time.

The Brazilian joined the Red Devils in 2022 under former head coach Erik ten Hag. He has since scored 12 goals in 96 matches.

The 3am Verdict: Antony has done well at Real Betis and the move has worked out well. Manchester United should try and cut ties with him permanently this summer. That would help free up space and funds to pave the way for other players.
