Rangers sign £8m midfielder, Leeds United man and wonderkid in £65m dream XI - if rumours are true
Rangers have fallen short of rivals Celtic once again in the Scottish Premiership this season
Rangers sit 2nd in the Scottish Premiership table behind their rivals Celtic. The Gers made the decision to sack Philippe Clement recently following a poor run of form. Barry Ferguson has since been placed in caretaker charge and he has done an impressive job since then.

The Glasgow giants have a big decision to make regarding their long-term managerial situation. They have the chance to bring in some new faces this summer. Here is a look at how they could line up next season if the transfer rumours, with valuations courtesy of AI...
How a Rangers dream XI could look next season
Goalkeeper: Jack Butland, £5m. The 32-year-old has been with Rangers since joining them in 2023. He has made 98 appearances in all competitions, 40 of which have come this season. The goalkeeper has also had spells in the past with the likes of Birmingham City, Stoke City and Crystal Palace, among others.
Right-back: James Tavernier, £6m. He has been a great servant to the Gers over recent years. His long-term future at Ibrox remains up in the air though. For as long as he is available to play, he will be a regular in their starting XI and injects experience into their squad.
Centre-back: Bamo Meïté - signing, £5m. The 23-year-old was snapped up by Marseille after catching the eye at FC Lorient. However, he was loaned out to Montpellier in January to get some experience. He was linked with Rangers in January, as per The National, and his is a name to keep an eye out for.
Centre-back: John Souttar, £8m. The 28-year-old played for both Dundee United and Hearts before joining his current club. He is a safe pair of hands at the back and has experience now. The centre-back has played over 300 games in his career to date.
Left-back: Ridvan Yilmaz, £6m. The Turkish full-back likes to get up and down the left flank. He gives his side something different when he goes forward. The player is someone who is keen to get plenty of crosses into the box and his left foot can be a useful weapon.
Rangers’ predicted attacking additions
Central midfielder: Lennon Miller - signing, £5m. Motherwell will face a battle to keep hold of the prospect. He has become a key player for their first-team over the past couple of years despite his tender age. Rangers are said to be keen along with Celtic, according to the Daily Mail.
Central midfielder: Darius Olaru - signing, £8m. The 27-year-old is a Romania international with 26 caps under his belt. Olaru, who plays for FCSB, would give Ferguson more competition and depth in the middle of the park. They were credited with an interest in him last winter, as per the Daily Record, but nothing materialised in the end.
Right winger: Vaclav Cerny - signing, £7m. He has spent this term on loan with the Gers and has been a hit. It remains to be seen at this stage whether they will be able to land him on a long-term basis. The winger has scored 17 goals in all competitions, 11 of which have come in the league.
Left winger: Kwame Poku - signing, £4m. Rangers have been keeping tabs on Poku’s progress down in League One in England. According to Rangers News, they have been scouting the attacker along with some Premier League and Championship clubs. The identity of his other suitors are unknown at this stage.
Striker: Hamza Igamane, £5m. Igamane has been a hit since joining the Gers in July last year. He has found the net on 14 occasions in 37 matches and has adapted well to life in Scotland. The forward scored the winner against rivals Celtic last time out.
Striker: Joe Gelhardt - signing, £6m. Leeds United loaned him to Hull City in January after Rangers were believed to be eyeing a swoop, Football Insider reported. He was given the green light to leave the Whites to get some more minutes. He has since scored three goals for the Tigers and has done well.
Starting XI: Butland; Tavernier, Meite, Souttar, Yilmaz; Miller, Olaru; Cerny; Poku; Igamane, Gelhardt. Valuation (via AI): £65m.
