The rising Serie A star who could be on his way to Tottenham - if they stay in the Premier League
Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to preserve their Premier League status this season under Igor Tudor
Tottenham Hotspur continue to battle it out to preserve their Premier League status. They are positioned in 16th place in the table with eight games left. The North London outfit are only a point above the drop zone.

They are fighting Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and West Ham to avoid relegation to the Championship. Igor Tudor’s side drew 1-1 away at Liverpool over the weekend. Attacker Richarlison got their goal late on against the Reds at Anfield - and provided a glimmer of hope that they might just keep their heads above water. And if they do, they may be set to make some intriguing moves in the summer transfer window...
Tottenham Hotspur target move for Roma midfielder Niccolo Pisilli
According to AS Roma Live, Spurs are interested in a move for Roma midfielder Niccolo Pissili. They have the opportunity to bring in some new faces this summer. The next transfer window opens at the end of the season.
Pissili, 21, is an Italy international with one cap to his name so far. He will be eyeing more international caps over the coming months. The Rome-born man is being tipped for a bright future in the game and his current club could face a battle to keep hold of him.
Spurs could see him as someone to bolster their midfield department. If he joined, he would give them more competition and depth in the middle of the park. In addition, his young age means he could be a useful long-term acquisition.
Their chances of landing his services will depend on what league they are in next term. If they go down to the second tier, they are very unlikely to be able to attract the players they want to sign. Therefore, they simply have to ensure that they preserve their top flight status.
Who is Tottenham Hotspur-linked Niccolo Pisilli?
Pisilli has been on the books at Roma for his whole career to date. He is under contract until June 2029 meaning they are under no immediate pressure to sell him anytime soon and they can afford to wait for a big offer to come in. He has risen up through their academy ranks and was a regular at various different youth levels before making the step up into the first-team set-up.
The Serie A giants handed him his first professional deal back in November 2022. He then had to wait until May 2023 to make his senior debut against rivals Inter Milan. Pissili has since become a key member of the squad and has made 67 appearances in all competitions, 23 of which have come in this campaign, and he has chipped in with seven goals.
Time will tell whether Spurs end up lodging an offer for him. In the meantime, they will be eager to build on their point against Liverpool. They dug deep against the Reds and will be relieved to have left Merseyside without losing.
Tudor’s men are back in action on Wednesday in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid as they aim to build some momentum now. They lost the first leg 5-2 over in Spain so have a mountain to climb. They then return to league action this weekend with a crucial home clash against Nottingham Forest.
